The eyeglasses are orignal Christian Dior and are marked with Christian Dior and copyright symbol.The right side is marked Christian Dior on the inside and the left side is marked 1/20 12kt gold filled USA.In 1947 Christian Dior opened his own "House of Dior" selling clothing and fashion Designer gold plated metal jewelry containing imitation precious stones including rhinestones,(that dazzled like diamonds),rubies,sapphires and faux pearls.Dior was the first Designer to use the Aurora Borealis rhinestones. The front of the eyewear is amazing and very ornate hand work with 3 Aurora Borealis rhinestones and 10 other gorgeus white stones around each lens totaling  6 rhinestones and 20 white stones. The detailed craftsmanship on the gold frames adds to the beauty of the glasses. I do not know what fortunate individual once owned and wore these glasses but the prescription lens are of a tinted glass. I have been in contact with the F.I.T. Museum in N.Y. and have spoke with one of their apprasiers. I have not been able to locate any Christian Dior glasses that resemble these at all.
