The style of the shawl is sort of a combination of a serape and a poncho.  There is a long slit down the front of the shawl with the back being solid.  The entire length of the shawl is about 71".  The slit down the middle is about 38" and the width is about 45".   A little history of the makers of the shawl....The Manos del Uruguay Cooperative was founded in 1968 by five friends.
